Located in the heart of Rome, Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will reopen its doors on July 1st and will reveal on this occasion the important renovation works carried out by Jean-Philippe Nuel, architect and contemporary decorator.
The most demanding travellers will be invited to stay at this address, inspired by French luxury, and to come and eat and relax.
Located in a quiet street, in the heart of Rome, this former 19th century palace is close to some of the city’s most famous monuments and parks, such as the Trevi Fountain, the Villa Médicis or the Staircase of Trinité-des-Monts.
Guests will enjoy returning to the relaxed and relaxed, authentically Roman atmosphere of this hotel, imbued with the essence of the picturesque Italian capital.
The establishment will offer 78 rooms and suites, including new, more spacious suites, a new fitness area, a new wellness program and three large reception rooms. Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will also host the elegant Settimo lounge and restaurant on its roof terrace, offering a panoramic view of the gardens of Villa Borghese and Saint Peter’s Basilica.
The Settimo, with its eclectic furniture and walls decorated with vegetation, will be an oasis of greenery on the 7th floor of the establishment and will serve a contemporary Roman cuisine based on regional ingredients. The hotel’s culinary creations, which will pay tribute to local craftsmanship and heritage while reflecting the personality of Chef Giuseppe d’Alessio, will be based on traditional Roman cuisine styles, such as « cucina povera » or « Tripolina ».
The new arrangements designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel will combine all the heritage and classicism of the « Dolce Vita » with modernism and French lifestyle design.
The hotel entrance will feature an iconic display of chromatic counterpoints and bright colours, creating a modern lounge with a classic atmosphere. The ceilings of the rooms will be adorned with iridescent tones, giving the impression of opening onto a bright sky.
Travellers will immediately feel at ease at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese, thanks to the personalized welcome, the small and attentive gestures and the unexpected surprises that the staff have in store for them.
The hotel will thus offer its candle ritual, inspired by the lighting of the streets of Paris during the reign of Louis XIV, which gave his subjects a feeling of security. At sunset, the hotel will be lit by large candles, placed in front of the entrance, which will welcome guests with background music.
The stay will be enhanced by wellness treatments and a fitness offer, thanks in particular to SofitelFIT Wellness and MyBed Sleep programmes, which transform the bathroom into a true sanctuary for ultimate relaxation.
Customers will have a choice between two formulas: the relaxing bath with soothing essential oils that invites you to relax, and the foam bath that makes this moment more fun.
Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will also provide customised bathrobes for a totally tailor-made experience.
