France is about to reopen for a visit the Tomb of the Kings, a 2,000-year-old archaeological jewel that it owns in the heart of Jerusalem, the French Consulate General announced. It had been closed to the public since 2010.
The Tomb of the Kings is a group of monumental Jewish tombs carved into the rock dating from the Second Temple period.
The site is located on Saladin Street in Jerusalem, 820 m north of the walls of the Old City, near the Damascus Gate.
