Dominica increases its air capacity

From next autumn, the island of Dominica will be even more accessible thanks to new flights from Guadeloupe and Martinique

For the winter 2019/2020 season and all year round, Air Antilles will make Dominica island even more accessible from the French West Indies and the metropolis! The French Ministry of Tourism and Culture, in agreement with the Air Committee of the Dominica Tourist Office, has negotiated new routes and additional capacity from Guadeloupe and Martinique to the destination.

Starting with the next All Saints’ Day holiday on 25 October, Air Antilles will increase the number of flights to Dominica, with 4 weekly flights from Guadeloupe (Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) and 3 weekly flights from Martinique (Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays).

These additional flights on a 19-seat Twin Otter will leave Pointe-à-Pitre for Canefield Airport at 4:25 p.m. and will be synchronized with flights from the metropolis by three airlines: Air France, Air Caraïbes and Corsair.

A return flight will be scheduled at 17:15 from Canefield Airport in Dominica, and will easily connect flights to France. Air France has set up a code-share with Air Antilles on these flights to facilitate their booking.

The second route will therefore connect Douglas Charles Airport with Fort de France on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Connections will also be made to the islands of Saint-Martin or San Juan. In total, no less than 11,440 seats will be added for the next tourist season!
