Aer Lingus inaugurates its first flight to Minneapolis

On July 1, 2019, Aer Lingus inaugurated its first flight to Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, from Dublin Airport. Flight EI089 was operated by a Boeing 757 named Saint Odhrán. This new route is operated six times a week and will become daily from August onwards. Nearly 2,500 passengers will travel on this route each week.

Minneapolis-St. Paul is the 14th transatlantic destination served by Aer Lingus from Dublin. Last year, Ireland’s only 4-star Skytrax airline opened Philadelphia and Seattle and continues to serve popular destinations in North America, such as New York, Boston, Washington, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.

Dublin, a real gateway to the United States

The new line confirms Dublin’s position as an international hub and allows Aer Lingus to connect 23 airports in the United Kingdom and Europe to Minneapolis, including 2 in France, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Lyon. The possibility of passing through the entry formalities on American territory at Dublin airport thanks to the presence of American immigration agents allows for smooth connections to the United States via the Irish capital.
