According to several media reports, a corruption case could lead to CAF’s disqualification of DR Congo at CAN 2019.
The case is said to be linked to the river score (4-0) that sanctioned the DRC-Zimbabwe match, counting for the third day of the group matches.
According to The Herald, an investigation has been opened by CAF into Zimbabwean goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze. The latter is said to have received a large sum of money to enable the Leopards of DR Congo to beat the Zimbabwe Warriors by a wide margin.
Congo DR and Madagascar face off in the Round of 16 next Sunday.
