Cycling rolls its hump in Taiwan

A series of events in the world of cycling, including The Road to Taiwan KOM-Summer, Taiwan KOM Challenge, Formosa 900 and Sun Moon Lake Come! Bikeday, attracts two-wheeled enthusiasts to the island !
Focus first on one of the most famous and most physical races on the island : Taiwan KOM Challenge. Taking place on 26 October 2018, this race brings together cycling lovers from all over the world every year, travelling alone, in a group, with family or friends. With a length of 105 km, the course climbs up to 3 275 m altitude. One of the most difficult roads in the world !
Cyclists start in Hualien and arrive at the top of Mount Hehuan, passing through the Gorges of Taroko. The various impressive landscapes are revealed thus under the eyes of the participants all along the route: beaches, mountains, gorges, waterfalls or still forests.
Before taking up the Taiwan KOM Challenge, The Road to Taiwan KOM-Summer offers an identical route to best prepare cyclists. Se Taking place on July 14, the summer edition gives more time to participants, namely a maximum of 9 hours to finish the race. An ideal opportunity for experience the Taiwan KOM Challenge at your own pace !
In addition to the Taiwan KOM Challenge, two other events complement the programme of the cycling festival in October and November: Formosa 900 and Sun Moon Lake Come! Bikeday. Taking place from 10 to 18 November, Formosa 900 consists of a 900km tour of the island in 9 days, carried out in groups starting from different cities.
The race along the famous Lake of the Sun and the Moon, will take place on November 17 and 18, allowing participants to enjoy the scenery the lake has to offer.
Indeed, Taiwan represents an ideal destination for cycling, whether for amateur cyclists or experienced professionals. The different events are intended for all levels. It is also a unique way of enjoy the natural wonders of the island !
