Tourism : 1.54 million foreign tourists in Angkor

During the first seven months of this year, more than 1.54 million foreign tourists visited Angkor Archaeological Park, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2017.
Angkor Enterprise – Angkor Enterprise, Angkor’s state revenue management agency, reports that approximately US$69.66 million was raised from ticket sales to the Park, an increase of approximately 15% over the same period in 2017.
Of this revenue, more than $3 million went to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals.
According to the Angkor Enterprise, for the month of July 2018 alone, entrance tickets were sold to 185,878 foreign tourists, a 2% increase, generating revenue of $8.2 million, of which $370,000 was donated to Kantha Bopha children’s hospitals.
It should be recalled that the Angkor Wat Temple, located in the Angkor Archaeological Park, was ranked first among the greatest historical monuments and 13th among the best tourist destinations in the world in 2018.
